The U.S. Department of Agriculture, in the WASDE report of April 2014, shows an increase in the expected U.S. Corn exports (+3.17 Mio t) and Soybean exports (+1.36 Mio t). The projected global demand for Corn is increasing, and for China Soybean imports have already exceeded the previous marketing-year record.
Corn production is expected to increase in Brazil and in South Africa, thanks to the favorable climatic conditions of the last two months.
Global Soybean production forecasts show a slight decrease, compared to March estimates, due to lower yields in Brazil and India. However, the expected production is still a record (284 Mio t, +6 % compared to 2012-13, +19% compared to 2011-12).
According to Agrimoney, Argentina’s Wheat exports will double next season, as elevated prices encourage farmers to return to the grain.
